NYC Posers is a parody on fashion poses throughout the streets of New York City from May 2010 – May 2011.

Our intent for producing this body of work is to bring humor to the contrived, ridiculous and unnatural fashion poses found in magazines. We decided to take photos of regular New Yorkers on the street, just as they were, in these so-called “poses”. The inherent awkwardness of the majority of these poses makes them really funny out of context.

NYC Posers comes from the creative minds of husband and wife photographic team Eric and Caroline Kellen-Garcia and was executed along with Gisela Viera.
